With over 25 years of experience in the media industry, Reetta Ranta is a storyteller, coach, and media executive from Finland whose calling is to act as a bridge between ancient wisdom and the modern world. She has worked with several media organizations, such as Rabbit Films, Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle, and Gutsy Animations, in various leadership roles. Currently she leads Power Animals United, a family business that produces innovative and inspiring content that combines nature wisdom, mythology, science and storytelling.
Reetta is also a published author whose books explore Nordic and Finnish cultural heritage, nature, and ritual-based wisdom. Her published works include Timeless Nordic Rituals (Rituaalikirja – Etsijän opas, published in Finland by SKS Kirjat and in Germany by Goldmann / Penguin Random House, with an English edition forthcoming in October 2026 with US publisher Schiffer / Red Feather), Sacred Trees (Pyhät puut), and Soulbirds (Sielulinnut).
She’s also the creator of the Nordic Forest Rituals Oracle Deck: 49 beautiful cards and a guidebook with inspiring messages from Nordic nature and mythology, and ideas for modern daily rituals. The Nordic Forest Rituals Oracle Cards draw inspiration from the mythical landscapes of the Nordic forest—its trees, plants, spirits, animals, and the stories that emerge from deep within our folklore. The cards bring Nordic nature and timeless rituals to life in a playful and beautiful way.
Reetta is known for the TV series “Metsien kätkemä” (“Back to Nature Finland”), which combines nature adventure, mythology, and captivating storytelling. Based on the series, Reetta has developed the international TV format “Back to Nature,” which has been sold to several European and Asian countries and now to the United States as well. Previously, Reetta has been involved in taking other Finnish content brands global, such as Habbo, the Dudesons, and the new Moominvalley animated series.
Reetta is a mother of three boys and resides with her husband and family in an over 100-year-old house in the Fiskars village, where she draws inspiration for her work from the beautiful nature and finds balance for work. Reetta is passionate about making our world a better place by creating and sharing stories that connect us with nature, ancient wisdom, and ourselves.
