Reetta Ranta (MA) is a storyteller, professional coach, and media entrepreneur who has coached top professionals both in Finland and internationally. She has also held leadership positions and served as a director in several esteemed media companies. Reetta has hosted radio and TV programs and has authored two non-fiction books. Currently, she leads her own production company, Power Animals United, and serves as the Executive Director of Women in Film and TV WIFT Finland.
As a values-driven coach and inspiring speaker, Reetta’s calling is to bridge ancient wisdom with the modern world, guiding her clients on their paths toward more meaningful lives. Her latest work, “Timeless Nordic Rituals: Bringing Purpose and Joy to Modern Life” (SKS Kirjat), was published in Finnish in the fall 2023. The book invites us to take inspiration from long-forgotten and living traditions of the Finno-Ugric people, and to create rituals that strengthen our connection with nature, the cycle of life, and with our inner selves.
Reetta is also known for the TV series “Metsien kätkemä” (“Back to Nature Finland”), which combines nature adventure, mythology, and captivating storytelling. Based on the series, Reetta has developed the international TV format “Back to Nature,” which has been sold to several European and Asian countries and now to the United States as well. Previously, Reetta has been involved in taking other Finnish content brands global, such as Habbo, the Dudesons, and the new Moominvalley animated series.
Reetta is a mother of three boys and resides with her husband in an over 100-year-old house in the Fiskars village, where she draws inspiration for her work from the beautiful nature and finds balance for her demanding work. Her yard is also home to a dog, two cats, many deer, and 70,000 bees.
In her lectures and coaching sessions, Reetta combines personal stories from her career and life with captivating storytelling, pragmatic coaching methods, and more mystical Finno-Ugric rituals such as drum meditation—always tailored to the needs and desires of the client. Reetta’s talks and coaching sessions leave a warm and unforgettable impression on the audience. She is particularly suitable for events that crave meaningful and immersive content. Reetta speaks both Finnish and English.
